Master’s degree in Gerontology
Gerontology is a scientific discipline that developed in response to the aging process of the population. Gerontology is a multidisciplinary program which draws on contents from the fields of welfare, sociology, psychology, medicine, biology, etc. Both research activity and the development of knowledge in the department are conducted in several areas: Policy and administration, studies relating to service development and administration, social policy, systemic approaches to the operation of services, and finally, the micro level which concentrates on the care of elderly people and their families, examines various aspects of coping with illness, the reactions of elderly people and their families to a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and other diseases, intergenerational relationships in the aging family, caring for elderly family members, and abuse of the elderly.
Bachelor of Science with a minimum grade point average of 80.
Passing an English entrance exam with a grade of at least 70.

Employment options upon graduation: Ministry of Health, HMOs and hospitals, hostels, clinics and rehabilitation work in the community. It is possible to continue research to pursue an advanced degree.
