The Department of Economics strives to equip students with theoretical and empirical economic expertise and with research tools that are required in order to analyze and solve economic problems, at the individual levels of the firm and the economic agent, as well as at the level of the national economy and its global connections. The studies are research oriented, i.e., they require posing relevant economic research questions and using adequate tools in order to address these questions and develop solutions. Students can specialize in related fields.
