Ph.D in Sociology
The Department of Sociology offers an examination of human society, mutual relations between humans, how they build and change their world, and the meaning of their organized institutions. Students will explore a wide variety of social issues related to culture, economics, and politics, in the context of global and local processes alike. Students will also study: social stratification and inequality; the army, state, and society; Israel’s wars; Arab society; LGBT relationships; organizations, labor organizations and labor relations, poverty, and welfare policy; familial relations; social media, etc.
A Master of Arts with a minimum grade point average of 85. A Master 0f Arts thesis with a minimum grade of 86.
