Ph.D. Study Departments
Ph.D in Art History
Art History is a wide academic field that spans centuries and continents. The Department of Art History gives students an understanding of the history of Western culture and Islamic culture over the centuries. The history of art is taught through a systematic analysis of paintings, sculptures, and architecture. Students examine the link between historical and cultural events and works of art as they acquire tools to develop their visual perception and critical thinking skills.
The department is very proud of its high-quality teaching, the individual attention students receive, and the close bonds between professors and students.
