The Department of Community Mental Health has a Ph.D. program whose aims are to study the community and its development, by means of innovative research that strives for excellence in fields relevant to community mental health problems.
These aims reflect our belief in the importance of participating in a research community made up of students, lecturers, and supervisors who offer each other mutual inspiration. This community, that closely observes circumstances and changes in research in the field, and even affects them, has the groundbreaking capacity to foster new knowledge and creativity, that will expand and deepen society’s understanding of mental health issues. We invite people with ability and perseverance, and who are interested in expanding their knowledge in this field, to join us in the Ph.D. program. The doctoral dissertation can be written both as an essay and as articles, in accordance with the Ph.D. Regulations prescribed by the Graduate Studies Authority.
