Occupational Therapy is one of numerous health-care professions. Professional activities of the occupational therapist include: diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, education, counseling, prevention, and research. The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy is an academic degree in the subject, and the studies for this degree are a continuation of the Bachelor of Science.

Courses in the Master of Science in the Department of Occupational Therapy take place on Wednesdays. They include two tracks:  a thesis track and a non-thesis track.

The  Master of Science in Occupational Therapy is based on development and self-learning with the aims of (1) developing and deepening the field of knowledge of occupational therapy through basic and applied research in general, and in particular in diagnosis, evaluation, and innovative methods of treatment and rehabilitation through occupational therapy;  (2) encouraging the development and application of innovative concepts for the treatment of motor, cognitive, and other limitations; (3) training young and skilled personnel in the forefront of knowledge, for management and leadership in the profession, and in the health-care, education and welfare systems; (4) training a pool of young people for research, teaching, and clinical instruction positions in academic frameworks.
